Communication Graduate Assistant
Center for Integrated Professional Development
Colin Winkelmann received his bachelor's degree in Creative Technologies, focusing on audio engineering, in May 2022. A year before, he was accepted into the accelerated master's degree program for Creative Technologies, and thus began studying for his M.S. in the Fall of 2023, with an anticipated graduation date in the Spring of 2024. Colin was accepted as the Communication Graduate Assistant for the Center of Integrated Professional Development in August 2023, and began working shortly thereafter. From January 2023 to August 2023, Colin worked at WGLT as an audio engineering intern, producing the NPR morning podcast THE LEADOFF, as well as on-air promos for the station. Colin's professional interests include audio engineering, and more specifically creative sound design and music production.
Colin's passions outside of the campus include songwriting, mixing and mastering, and video editing. He also enjoys cooking, running, and cuddling with his Siamese cat, Frieza.
Colin's role at the Center of Integrated Professional Development will be to manage the department's website, create social media posts, and produce audiovisual content for the department to use and display.
