The Teaching-Learning Development Grant Program supports innovation in teaching and learning on the ISU campus.
Awards are up to $1,500 for individual applicants or $2,000 per team. Deadlines in Fall, Spring and Summer.
Funds are not available for this grant for the remainder of the current fiscal year.
This grant program is intended to support incorporating the principles and goals of ISU’s core value of civic engagement into students’ curricular experiences. Grants reimburse faculty for expenses directly associated with course-based events, activities or projects that develop students’ civic and community knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors and prepare them to participate in social change. It is co-sponsored by the Civic Engagement and Responsibility Minor, the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, American Democracy Project at ISU, and CTLT.
These grants provide financial support for faculty to attend conferences and workshops that emphasize teaching and learning. Awards are up to $300 to supplement expenses covered through other sources. No deadlines – applications accepted anytime before travel commences.
For academic departments, campus units, or campus groups to support events and activities that strengthen the ISU community of teachers. Grants can be used for such things as printing promotional materials, travel expenses for a visiting speaker, books or other materials, rent for a facility for an event, or refreshments for an event. Grants are up to $200. No deadlines – applications accepted anytime before event commences.
Grants are intended to foster stronger collegial and professional connections between faculty and students in support of Illinois State’s core value of providing individualized attention. Funding is intended to provide reimbursement for expenses associated with refreshments at informal social gatherings involving instructors and graduate and/or undergraduate students. This grant supports non-course specific social events, and so does not fund events for a specific course. Grants are for up to $200 per fiscal year.
