Mayuko joined CTLT as a coordinator in the fall of 2006. She earned her Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1997 and has been working in higher education for the past 20 years. In addition to her work at CTLT, she sometimes teaches Educational Psychology and Adolescent Development courses for the Department of Psychology. Mayuko has a wide range of professional interests including critical pedagogy, equity pedagogy, intercultural learning, cognitive and developmental psychology, online and blended teaching and instructional technology.
Mayuko has three primary areas of focus at CTLT: Instructional Technology, Diversity and Inclusion, and Global Learning. For each of her focus area, she offers workshops, consultation, and teaching-learning communities and actively participate in the campus and community initiatives related to these focus areas. Mayuko is also a team leader for Instructional Technology and Media team and oversees faculty support for LMS, Clickers and other instructional technology tools.
