Steve Travers, who joined the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology as a graduate assistant in July 2013, recently earned his Doctorate in Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at Illinois State University. He earned his doctorate in 2017. He is now a full-time Instructional Development Specialist at CTLT.
Travers has more than ten years of teaching experience at Heartland Community College in the Earth Science and Technology departments. Five years prior to beginning his teaching career, he worked in the engineering and environmental industry completing environmental field investigations, environmental cleanups, risk assessments, and risk management plans.
Steve’s primary responsibilities at CTLT are to provide assistance to faculty in trouble shooting the university learning management system (LMS), ReggieNet, create instructional how-to videos on using ReggieNet, work with instructors on online course design as a member of the Design, Align, Refine, and Teach (DART) facilitation team, and facilitate ReggieNet instructional workshops for faculty and staff.
