In this workshop/study group series, you will discuss the inceptions of racist-thoughts and systems and how we are all unwittingly socialized into these ideas although we often have good intentions to be fair and just. Using the podcast series called Seeing White, you'll critically examine the ideas of whiteness, white-supremacy, color-blind ideology, and aversive racism. For each session, you'll be asked to listen to 3-4 podcast episodes to prepare for the discussion.
Conversation on race and racism is often difficult, but we'll together create a non-threatening, engaging environment to help you start (or continue) your journey to become anti-racist.
