The Julia N. Visor Academic Center will continue to offer support services virtually (mostly through Zoom) through the conclusion of semester at their previously scheduled times. If you are already in a tutoring session, enrolled in a workshop, signed up for writing assistance, or in coaching, the facilitator will send you a link to the session with step by step instructions.
Any Illinois State University student can sign up for any of the Visor Center's services:
Students can sign up for tutoring by calling (309) 438-7100 or by using the online sign-up form. Those that are currently signed up for tutoring will receive Zoom meeting links from their tutors for their current sessions.
Students will be able to attend drop in writing assistance:
These 30 minute, first-come, first-served sessions began Monday, March 23 and will run through April 30. Sign up using the meetings links which will be posted soon on the Writing Help page.
Visor Center workshops will continue as scheduled, with the addition of online learning to the current list of topics. Browse workshops and sign up online.
The Visor Center provides one-on-one academic coaching to students who want to develop and refine their academic skills. Academic coaching can help students improve their time management, textbook reading, note taking skills, and much more.
