The scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) is a specialized form of inquiry into various aspects of teaching or learning. This workshop series will introduce participants to SoTL, review ways in which data can be collected and analyzed to better understand teaching and learning, and plan a mentored SoTL project. Participants should come to this workshop series ready to reflect on questions they have about their own teaching and learning contexts. Participants will have a documented, draft SoTL project that will have been through two stages of peer review and refinement. These projects will be ready to launch in the fall of 2022 or the spring of 2023.
A $500 stipend is available to eligible participants who complete the program.
Due to the time commitment associated with cohort experiences, instructors are limited to taking only one of the following workshops in Summer 2022: Design Your Course; (Re)Design Your Course for Civic Engagement; Going Global with Your Course; Reinvent Your Course for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Access; Plan a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Project; AIM Online.
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to
